Decomposers break down wastes of animals and plants(dead leaves and roots) into fertile topsoil with lots of humus. plants grow better in that soil and the herbivores and omnivores eat the plants. and the carnivores and some omnivores eat those herbivores. Its basically the food chain.

Decomposers consume dead matter by breaking down remaining organic into smaller pieces which can then be placed back into the ecosystem through food chains as nutrients.

  2. Within an ecosystem, decomposers play an important role in ecological feeding relationships because they are key members in the recycling of materials and they help to maintain balance in predator-prey relationships. If there were no decomposers in the ecosystem, food cycles would be interrupted and there would be an imbalance in the transfer of materials in the univserse

  8. decomposer sometimes act as a fertiliser to both plants and animals.WORM~Various types of worms are also considered decomposers, as they act as scavengers. For example, a worm that begins to consume an apple helps to hasten its decay by removing parts of the skin and flesh, exposing the interior of the fruit to the elements and to other decomposers. Certain species of roundworms will also help to decompose the bodies of animals[citation needed].

  12. If there were no such thing as decomposers, all dead matter would just pile up.
Decomposers break down dead matter, turning it into nutrients for the plants.
